During the conference you will be able to attend different workshops. Participants with full conference registration (all three days) can participate in one workshop free of charge. Seats are available upon registration on first come, first served principle.

If you wish to improve your clinical skills and get in-depth knowledge about suture techniques or pain relief during postpartum repair, this is the workshop to attend. Sara Kindberg midwife and PhD, has specialized in perineal care within topics such as perineal repair, pain relief and prevention of perineal trauma. As the founder and CEO of the local company GynZone, she offers worldwide and online supervision and training in suture diagnostics and techniques for midwives, doctors, and students within obstetrics and gynaecology.

There are five suture workshops during the conference each with room for 20 participants. Conference participants signing up for this workshop get a 2-hour free workshop and access to a 3-hour online training programme (normal price 340 EUR).

If you wish to improve your clinical skills and get in-depth knowledge about vaginal breech birth, this is the workshop to attend.
Kamilla Gerhard Nielsen Obstetric Consultant and the founder of ObstetriWise, has specialized in upright breech birth. The upright breech concept is a way of understanding the physiology of vaginal breech birth. Several pioneers have describe the physiological method of breech birth and a clinical flowchart has been developed by Midwife Dr. Shawn Walker. The physiological approach evolves around using gravity by upright position at birth and movement to enhance rotation of the baby through the pelvis. Kamilla Gerhard Nielsen offers worldwide courses in upright breech birth for midwives, doctors, and students within obstetrics and gynaecology.

Single studies can have a huge impact on changing clinical practice. One example is The Term Breech Trial which more or less eliminated planned vaginal breech birth in middle- and high income countries. Recently, two trials on induction of labor have been published: The ARRIVE trial (2018) and the SWEPIS trial (2019) Both studies have been under critical examination due to their general impact on various clinical practices and guidelines.
The question to explore in the workshop: Are these studies transferable to your own clinical practice?

Eva Rydahl, midwife and PhD will through a mix of short presentations and collaborative work in groups increase the participant’s knowledge and competencies in relation to feel competent for scientific and clinical discussions with the offset in the two trials.
There are one workshop on reading induction of labour studies during the conference with room for 20 participants. Conference participants signing up for this workshop get a 2-hour free workshop.

Preparation is not necessary, but an overview of the two studies (please see links below) may qualify the learning outcome and the discussions.
